Ya-ya’s intricate illustrations
Russian artist Yana Moskaluk recently posted some of her latest illustrations on her web site and they’re awesome. Right now I don’t know much about her, except that she lives Moscow (she moved there when she was 19 to work full time and become an independent) and she’s a cutie. You can keep tabs on her through her web site or her Livejournal – but it’s mostly in Russian. Her illustrations are a mixture of something provocative (which is intriguing in itself), colorful, intricate and mysterious. She currently does both commercial and personal work, and it’s important to take a look at both because they vary in style, since there is little wiggle room for her to do what she wants in commercial projects. Below are the most recent photos posted on her web site.
