“THERE’S ALWAYS ROOM FOR J-E-L-L-O!”

Andrew Salmone is an international artist that celebrated funny man Bill Cosby’s birthday, on July 12th 2009, by bringing him to life in a portrait made out of 1,000 shots of JELL-O! Talk about you are what you eat! I think even good ole clean fun lovin’ Bill would love to see himself decked out in a tastefully, sinful array of JELL-O shots.
Grape, cherry, lime, raspberry, mango, you name it! JELL-O shots galore filled the Buoy Gallery in Kittery, Maine. After the broadcasting of the exhibition, it was open for consumption, and things got a little crazy. Spectators in the exhibition started rearranging Dr. Cosby’s face to see what he would look like with a handle-bar mustache, a doobie, and a goatee and flat top.
Andrew finds ways to express his ideas through off the wall concepts found in pop culture. I find his art humorous and clever.
