The Eyes Have It

In the world of Caitlin Worthington, there are no happy endings, only the intensity that is Real Life.  She’s a 19 year old Aussie who became a self taught photographer at the age of 13.  Her photographic mission, to capture her subjects’ uniqueness, has turned itself into a display of self-possessed, haunting images, with eyes that seem to bore right through you.

What would normally constitute light carefree children frolicking in nature, displays no children, but experienced thieves watching you and laying in wait.  The beauty of this intensity is what makes her images so interesting and reaches beyond a typical “Portrait” photo.  The obvious contradiction of her images make you pray for a sunny day, yet hunt for the next gloom.
