The Artesina Rabbit
Yes, this is a giant stuffed animal with its mouth hanging open looking like it’s been dropped carelessly by the hands of a giant child. The child would at least have to be about 15 stories high because this is one very large stuffed hare. Located in the hills of Italy, you’ll want to head to the Village of Artesina, Piemonte, Italy, close to Bar La Baita. From there it will almost be impossible not to miss the gynormous pink rabbit! It took the art group, Gelatin, 5 years to knit the giant Velveteen Rabbit look alike that lays near the mountainside, in a flopsy, uncomfortable position. And much like the Velveteen Rabbit, it is well loved by tourists; showing holes in the fabric where children have played, couples have frolicked and travelers have rested. Gelatin established the big hare in 2005 and will keep it there for 20 years, 2025.
