The art of photo animation

Netherlands based painter Mattijin Franssen proves that you don’t need to be classically trained to kick some major ass. The self-taught artist has been painting his whole life and less than ten years ago began experimenting with oil paintings. From there, he started specializing in the photomontage which then led to the photo animation shots you see here. All the pieces originate from photos shot by Franssen himself. It kind of makes spending up six figures on art school seem foolish, though I’m sure very few possess a natural talent as great as Franssen’s.
