The jangly, slightly menacing tempo of the song is perfectly synchronized with the astonishing and violent sequence of events in the video by fellow Australian Rhett Dashwood. As the crescendo builds, so does the anticipation for what turns out to be a rather explosive ending. The sharp juxtaposition between the unsettling violence and the mesmerizing slow motion cinematography which captures it, is simply fascinating. This is achieved through the combined expertise of  Dashwood, who works as a creative director in various media and Ari Wegner, the cinematographer. The video itself actually manages to come across more as an engaging short film with the perfect score, rather than a typical music video.

Viewers may be left feeling like shell-shocked eyewitnesses watching a car crash take place-you are too stunned to do anything but you simply cannot look away. And of course in the aftermath are all the inevitable questions concerning what happened. The video leaves it up to you to draw your own conclusions.
