You know those classic images you see that remind you if vintage Vogue or Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s? Well chances are that some of those images were taken by well known photographer Tom Palumbo. To this day, he still takes such crisp and classy pictures all the while directing plays off Broadway.
It is not often when you come around an artist like this who displays such amazing creative output through his work. Meet Alessandro Bavari, born in Latina, a coastal town south of Rome, Italy. Alessandro grown up in an italo-french family, he was early attracted by artistic matters and decided to attend art college, where he began making photomontages at the age of 15. Then, he studied scenography, photography, history of art and various other topics at the Academy of Fine Arts, in Rome, where he developped strong grounding in the techniques of oil, watercolours and engraving, while experimenting at the same time methods mixing tar, glue, industrial paint and exploring photographic printing techniques. Fabio Lattanzi Antinori is an Italian-born photographer currently residing in England. I guess he took that Arrivederci, Roma thing too seriously. He grew up in Rome, and his bio is one of the more interesting that I have read thus far. Since 1997, he has been, “focusing on the symbolic interpretation of reality, the rendering in images of the social and emotive universe of the individual.” This leads me to wonder what productive things I have done lately and how I decide to view the world.
