“Do you ever wonder if your shadow is playing tricks on you behind your back?” Greenpoint NYC Photographer Katie Sokoler does. And she took action on the idea by carefully tracing and cutting out shadows, pasting them on random walls around town, and waiting with her camera for the money shots-when an anonymous person
walking by aligned to them perfectly. Aside from being an awesome photographer, Katie lives her life with art. Her always inspired mind spills out onto her home, into what she does to kill time at the airport-leave inspiring and sweet notes lying around for people to find- and ultimately results in her participation in projects like Improve Everywhere‘s art Subway Art Gallery Opening (see a video of this below). What she captures with her lense is just a reflectionof her kaleidescopic mind, and its refreshing.
