Photographer Gregoire

I normally have a hard time writing about fashion photography. But just I began to lament that  Grégoire Alexandre‘s work encompasses the sort of bold, fierce photographs that plague me, I realized he has a few tricks up his sleeve.

To be certain, his photography is fashion-centric. There’s no denying this fact. Many of the photographs on his website encompass the all-t0o-familiar, drab grey or white background and contrast it with the bold colors of the models’ attire. But a few of his series’ have something more to them. He creates some extraordinary effects with paper in photographs 10-13 on his website. My personal favorite, photograph 11, depicts its model dressed in all white and engaging somehow with a green, origami horse. Yeah, it sounds weird. But the photograph itself is pretty awe inspiring.
