People are strange, when you’re a stranger.
“Invisible People” touches upon the not so glamorous person who masks their true emotions, are easily forgotten, and are indeed invisible.
Jin Young Yu’s art portrays a family unsure of their placement in the normalcy of everyday existence. I quoted The Doors “People are Strange” as the title for this post. To an extent it fits. “When you’re strange, faces come out of the rain. When you’re strange. No one remembers you’re name.” The lifestyle that Yu’s sculptures choose to live is one where they distance themselves from a fast-paced society. They are beautifully crafted and the disposition on their faces stand out against the sculptures’ otherwise transparent bodies.
