Now You See My Desktop… And Now You Don’t
May 4th, 2009

OMG… Who the hell stole my flippin’ Twilight background image? What kind of tech-savvy magician has taken from me the pasty delight that is Edward Cullen’s hunky face? In my eyes, it’s plain thievery; but to you guys out there, it’s sheer cyber-creativity: Transparent computer wallpaper.
These optical illusions are available for download. However, if don’t own a blue glow-in-the-dark lava lamp, then it just might lose its edge. So, why not be crafty and make your own transparent wallpaper! The process requires a steady hand, a digital camera, and patience! Take a picture of the background of your choice (make sure your camera is positioned in the same spot as where your computer will be). Then, upload it to your computer as a background image. Now, for the magic trick to really make an impact, place your computer in the perfect spot so that the wallpaper matches up with the original subject. Voila! Your very own trippy transparent wallpaper! Take heed that it may take a few tries to get your illusion to work. Also, thanks to the foldable screen, it’s way more easier to accomplish this feat on a laptop computer than on a desktop. But, hey, anything in the name of trendsetting!
PS. If you see my Twilight Wallpaper, can you please email me? My desktop is naked without it!!
