The amount of work and detail and time and (probably) tears that go into Don Gorvett‘s woodcut reduction prints is borderline-disturbing. He’s having an exhibition at my school this summer (Endicott College), and while wandering around the art building checking things out, he bumped into my printmaking professor who convinced him to talk to our class. The prints he had with him were huge and literally made us gasp- we’d definitely never felt less talented in our entire lives. His colors are so beautiful and he has such an eye and obvious love for the best parts of New England- check it!!
