Design company Maki located in the Netherlands is taking a fresh approach to custom gear. They describe themselves as “wacky, edgy, humorous, urban and intelligent” and I think they may be on to something. They claim to “do whatever you want us to do” which is why I think they are worth paying attention to. In today’s world it seems that too often quality and service are set aside in order to cut costs. Larger companies could learn a lot from this Dutch curio.

    Zune and iPod: Most people compare the Zune to the Touch, but after seeing how slim and surprisingly small and light it is, I consider it to be a rather unique hybrid that combines qualities of both the Touch and the Nano.
