Madonna
February 18th, 2009
Steven Klein is one of the best photographers, and I regard him as such not only because of his amazing work, but because of his philosophy behind it. For example, this shoot he did for W Magazine with Madonna. He chooses to leave her ambiguous, shooting her not as an icon and not revealed, because he feels our obsession with celebrities is only to know our self through them. And I agree. I’m completely self-absorbed and love to think how much I am just like them, and at the same time I despise them because I would kill to have the opportunity they have. I’m seriously going to go Joan Crawford on the next pop star who blows their career up their nose.(Not saying she has.) Anyway, this shoot is fierce, and I love how his boobs are bigger than hers.
