Vincent Callebaut, an architect who is obviousely concerned about the future of man kind, came up with this illustration called Lilypad. It is really meant to be a floating city of 50,000 residents. Who loves you? Vincent Callebaut does!

    Hey vincent, I just saw your work for the first time…WOW I realy like where your mind is going especially on the lilly pad project, If you ever need some help making your dream come true let me know.. seriously..I have similar dreams of saving or helping humanity but my dreams are grounded by my financial situation..(cant build the “pad” of my dreams with my denero)lol…ok, just wanted to give you kudos on a job well thought up..

    Well it sure looks fantastic as a piece of art! Although to be truly valid beyond a pretty picture, structurally he should have done some research on oceanic structures and engineering. That thing would be flooded and sink if not destroyed after the first major storm. Excellent artwork though! But for the engineering aspect of your profession, stick to land.
