Jessamyn Patterson’s Monsters

Jessamyn Patterson, a 20-year-old Chicago resident, creates amazingly detailed un-worldly creatures that hover somewhere between your dreams and your nightmares. Despite the sometimes grotesque nature of some of her creations, there’s a calming peacefulness to everything she draws. However you react to her work, it’s undeniable that her imagination is certainly a wild place- it’s like being in a Tim Burton film on acid.
