Is it Science or is it Art?

You tell me.

When I first stumbled upon this apple, I was quite in shock that it wasn’t just one work of art by a geography student with a little too much time on his hands.

If you take a look at his other work, Kevin Van Aelst has made many other scientific contributions to the art world.

Or has he made artistic contributions to the science world?

His work features fingerprints, cloud formations, the human digestive system, and many other things we learned in high school.

However, I guarantee you, if Mr. Van Aelst’s photos were featured in the textbooks, instead of all those photos from the 80s they still haven’t replaced, students will be a little more interested in actually opening their textbooks.

The Verdict:
Everyone can learn something from a scientific work of art.

Why wouldn’t you know how a cell divides?

Wow this is really good. I agree that these should be in text books, for sure. That would keep a lot of students interested and not falling asleep in class like I did in High School, haha.
