Does everything need to be amazing? No. It can’t be. Amazing things just aren’t so amazing after a dozen or so times. But you know. There’s something worth noticing of a craft during it’s slow build. And Jen Mundy falls into this ink.
Jen Mundy’s work. Is. Well. Not incredible. But there is something about them. The colour blend might seem like you’ve seen them before. Maybe in a dream. Or some acid-like video game. But their is a really flat-neon appealing fluid and natural motion about them. Amateurish illustration? Maybe. Fuck should I know. Art and all that’s rooted to it is something that seems strange and confusing to me. But this girl. Is on to something. The depictions. For the most part. Are really imaginative. Like I’ve said so many times before. I don’t know what I’m talking about. But I know what I like. And I like her stuff. So swallow these down. Maybe you’ll fall into some faded pink cloud. Where the girls have cotton candy blue hair. Where the faces aren’t for sure. But you know they’re there. It’s a good thing. I’m sure of it.
