So I am at a cookout this past weekend with my boyfriend and some of his co-workers, doing my due diligence as a girlfriend and being eaten alive by mosquitoes, when inspiration came to me in the form of another significant other brought to the shindig. Her name is Ealish Wilson and she happens to have so many interesting and imaginative ideas, that I just couldn’t help but want to share her artwork and coolness with you. She also has an accent, which I love.
With a Masters in Design and specialties in textiles, she has shown exhibitions all over the globe (Tokyo, Munich San Francisco and the UK to name a few). Not only does she create her own fabrics, she uses her own personal photographs and travels abroad as inspiration for her installations, sculptural artwork, experimental designs and even pillows! She has pieces in the L’attutide gallery on Newbury Street in Boston and can be commissioned through her website. Ealish has inspired me as she is a woman who has a passion for her art and creations; a woman who is not afraid of a little hard work in order to share her imagination with the world. She inspired me to rethink about my dreams, do some soul searching… and all this over home brewed beer and BBQ food.
