Discover/Reignite/Intensify your love for Labyrinth
After recently attending a sign-along version of 1986′s Labyrinth, I have found a new love and appreciation for a movie that I have loved since I was a child. Never heard of it? (Gasp… me passing out…. me hitting the floor) Well then let me introduce you the magical world of Jim Henson who has created some of the most inventive and genius characters in pop culture.
I will not go too much into detail about the movie because if you have not seen it, I want you to be uber surprised and enamored with it. Let us talk David Bowie, in spandex no less, penning a soundtrack that is magical and also really cool (pssst dont tell anyone I said that). Let us also talk a very young Jennifer Connelley playing a teenage bratty brat who wishes away her baby brother. He ends up in the labyrinth, with you guessed it, David Bowie… this is where the movie takes on just imagination slash ridiculousness.
Please if you have never seen this movie, put it in your netflix queue, rent it at blockbuster or geesh find it online somewhere! Just please, please do yourself the favor of introducing this movie to your mind.
