Dan May

If you are in the Santa Monica area, you must check out the upcoming show of artist Dan May. His solo show titled “Slow Collision” will open at the Copro/Nason gallery on February 7th. Check out some of his work here. I am definitely digging the fantastical element and the use of pastels. There is something slightly eerie yet comforting about his paintings. I also really like the movement- it’s as if everything is floating in some sort of suspended time and place. And you can’t beat his titles. The above is called “Bubblegum Siesta”.
