Crazy Cool Graffiti
We’ve all encountered unfortunately ugly instances of graffiti. From Los Angeles to New York City, it’s a problem that can, and frequently does, occur in the oddest of places. Sometimes you even wonder how people get into these weird spaces. It’s gotta be hard to sneak in and out of places like the Subway, what with oncoming trains, puddles of fetid water, and armies of rodents. Errr…but that’s neither here nor there.
This is like no graffiti you’ve ever seen! Well, I suppose there’s a possibility that you’ve seen it. But that shouldn’t diminish the uniqueness of these particular works. The medium as a whole has been misunderstood for far too long, and it’s high time we started looking at it without disdain or upturned noses.
The artist responsible for the above image as well as a couple more in the gallery is Belin. Although a number of the images are by anonymous artists, a couple of other responsible parties are Berok, Dase and Kasal. All I can say is I wish cool graffiti like this was in the Subway. Would make my morning train delays a little more enjoyable. But I guess you can’t have it all. I’ll get over it someday.
