Circuit Board Sculptures Remind me of the Earth

steven rodrig 1 Circuit Board Sculptures Remind me of the EarthAt first, when I saw that there was such a thing as circuit board sculptures, I rolled my eyes, thinking what now? However, once I have a look at what’s out there, I was pretty intrigued. There actually appears to me to be a movement of people finding ways to repurpose used items into art and that’s cool (in my books anyway.)

I especially like Steven Rodrig’s use of circuit boards to sculpt animals, women’s shoes (complete with bows), books, flowers…you name it. There’s not an overabundance of variation in colour in all but still, very cool and all the green reminds me of the earth.

I am impressed, I have to say. Very rarely do I encounter a blog thats both informative and entertaining, and let me tell you, you’ve hit the nail on the head. Your idea is important; the matter is something that not many people are speaking intelligently about. I’m very happy that I stumbled across this in my search for something relating to this.

I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.
