Cinematic Rings
A projector ring and a talking ring? Sounds like something one might have found in a box of Cracker Jack back in the forties. But no! Luke Jerram created these quite recently. For his wedding and engagement, in fact.
Luke Jerram is an inventive guy. For his engagement, he created the “Portrait Projecting Ring” This little guy has itty bitty projector slides embedded in it. When a light is shined through the portraits, the images are projected onto whatever surface the light hits. The Talking Ring works much like a record, and can actually be played on a tiny record player as you can see in the video below. According to the folks at Illusion 360, both concepts are based on technologies from the 1900′s with the Portrait Projecting Ring modeled after the stanhope and the Talking Ring after the phonograph.
