Christophe Gilbert- A Master Of Photo Manipulation
I love visual arts almost as much as I love music, and let me tell you that among an ocean of talent at times it seems hard to find something refreshing. Belgian photographer Christophe Gilbert has managed to create exceptionally interesting photographs that are worth taking a look at.
Based in Bruxelles, this photographer who specializes in visual arts is truly a master of photo manipulation. As with the majority of artistic photographs, you must look at them for a little longer than just a few seconds in order to absorb the image. What I personally love about them is that they have these little subtleties that can make you laugh, feel uncomfortable, or simply say “wow that’s cool!”.
The photos explore our human fascination with the material, the fantastic, the mundane, the erotic, and even with nature. In them we can see how wonderful nature is (with humans being a part of its very essence), as well as how ridiculous we can become while being so fixated in such things as fashion and/or material stuff. Almost all of the photos were wonderfully crafted with a hint of humor in them, and yet they look simply stunning often offering diverse colors and good-looking models. I hope you take some time to enjoy these, and think about some of the pictures you see and ask yourself if at times you tend to judge some people or perhaps even yourself in the same way the images are being projected; we humans can definitely be rather extravagant at times.
