Amazing work by photographer William Castleman capturing these breath taking images and making a time-lapse video out of it. Shots taken by Canon EOS-5D every twenty seconds for nine hours straight at Fort Davis, Texas. The Canon was equipped with a fisheye lens (an EF 15mm f/2.8 lens) and powered with an external battery. Work such as this inspires me to pick up my dusty professional camera and get my hands dirty with some cool photos of the cosmos. Check out the video after the continuation… [ Continue Reading ]

The commercial for Gucci‘s new scent, “Flora,” is certainly unconventional. It’s stirring, it’s sexy, and it’s edging on over the top. The only question is, does it work? [ Continue Reading ]

0 Whats new is old and whats old has become new again

So I’m driving down the street the other day, listening to my area’s standard generic ‘modern rock’ station (whatever that is). I hear a pretty kick-ass guitar lick fade in, and right away, no hesitation I realize it’s a new song by my absolute favourite band of all time.

Oh yes, I think to myself. New Pearl Jam. This day is amazing. [ Continue Reading ]

I gotta admit, Saturday Night Live is actually becoming funny. Yes I do miss the good old days with comedians such as Adam Sandler and Chris Farley, but the new cast is not so bad either, especially when Andy Samberg teams up with Justin Timberlake, watch this  after the continuation, its hilarious… [ Continue Reading ]

Hello faithful readers,

I’d like to present a new feature that I’m hoping will become a semi-regular weekly thing. The plan? I find the best of the best music, the cream of the melodic crop, the rockin’ right stuff, bands that have what the French call a certain… I don’t know what. I take these bands, the best that Canada has to offer, and I let them explain in their own words why you should, nay, must check them out.
