I AM DYING TO SEE THIS! I have always loved the music of Mariah Carey, I think she’s a brilliant singer. Of course, she’s famous for being a diva, but when you know what works for you and what doesn’t work for you and you demand it, then people often cast you as a diva. Anyway, we all know her famous flop in her movie Glitter, well now it appears she has finally had the opportunity to play something real, something painful, something her actual age, and she’s completely vulnerable, it’s beautiful!! She is co-starring in a movie called ‘Precious’, based on the novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire. Watch the movie trailer….
The economy must be improving. Thanks to Obscura, we now have pool tables that work with sensors and a custom projector to create a movie on the playing surface, layers of image adjusting around the balls as they roll. As a freelance copy editor/grantwriter, I am extremely grateful to have this new toy to drop 80 large on. God knows I have more cash than I know what to do with right now. Pain in the ass, let me tell ya. [ Continue Reading ]
Are you just dying to save the environment?
Every day thousands of Swedes drive to the airport in their cars, averaging 1.5 person per car. A Swedish coach company Flygbussarna hired an advertising firm Acne to showcase how much CO2 emissions would decrease if everyone would take the coach instead. Since a coach releases CO2 emissions of four cars but can fit up to 50 people, the amount of CO2 would decrease enourmosely if everyone took the coach to the airport. Watch the video after the continuation to see how all this was done… [ Continue Reading ]
Ever wondered how it would be to drive across United States. I almost did that this summer, from New York to Los Angeles, but it didn’t work out and I was pretty bummed. Lucky enough I got an email from Laura Austin recently, letting me know about the filmed trip she took from Vermont to California. It ended up being a three day trip with about fifteen hours of driving each day. It’s a [ Continue Reading ]
Being a New York City resident for at least 17 years, I find it hard at times to enjoy the beauty that is around me. There is a reason why New York is one of the most popular spots to visit in the world and this video reminds me why. Shot in april 2006 during his three week stay, Max Moos captured the magic and the beauty the city has to offer through his Cannon 400D. Check out the video after the break, it is truly an amazing peace.
Swedish electronic music duo Rymdreglage bring us 8-bit trip, a particularly geeky pairing of chocolate and peanut butter: mid-80′s video games and Legos. The music is either pure joy or intensely annoying, probably depending on how much time you spent trying to get Mario to the next level as a kid—or how much sugar you have in your system right now. I must admit, this must be one of the best video game trailers I have ever seen. Even though I am not a huge fan of the Halo game series, now I actually want to check it out. The story takes you through a boy’s maturity as a soldier, in the beginning stages witnessing his father’s military burial, being deployed on the front lines, burying his war mates and eventually carrying on to fight the battle. Words do it no justice, watch the video… [ Continue Reading ]
