If you’re into creepy characters and a very simple concept, then you’re going to love this video. I think this is becoming some kind of a trend, more and more I see bands release videos which are extremely simple in concept and are mostly in slow motion. It’s different, not as unique anymore but still fairly potent. The video is by a band called Dancing Pigeons, if you haven’t heard of these guys, there is a good reason for it – they do not have any albums ( yet ).  Originating from France, Dancing Pigeons have aquired their fame with a handful of bedroom-recorded electro pop songs in spring of 2008. Within only a few months they were opening up for acts such as Ladytron. Besides highly acclaimed late-night party and club appearances from Berlin to Paris, the band debuted last years festival season with huge success and is now in the progress of recording their first studio record.

SPA is a soothing, inspiring flow of colours and movement by deko.lt, 3D animator and visual effects artist. Looking through the artist’s beautifully rendered website, I’m taken with everything from the backdrop pattern to the pieces themselves.

Hawtin is known for DJing minimal techno sets making use of laptop computers and digital mixing equipment. In May 1990, Hawtin and fellow second-waver John Acquaviva founded the Plus 8 record label, which they named after their turntable’s pitch adjust function.In 1998, Hawtin launched Minus records, a label he uses primarily as a launch pad for his own projects.

There really isn’t much to say about this. It’s just a music video that uses the Iphone and it’s many many capabilities as the theme. Check it out if you want. I wouldn’t. Because you find the song sort of sticking in your head………………….the bastards.

When I saw this video still from Euphorie, an audio visual show performed in Paris by François Wunschel and Fernando Favier, I sort of expected two Jedi performers battling it out to music.  Actually, it’s much cooler than that.

According to their website, 1024 Architecture (one of the show’s producers) “focuses on the interaction between body, space, sound, visual, low-tech and hi-tech, art and architecture.”  Small white lights, which move like schools of glowing fish in a black sea, move at the command of the artists’ wands.  The shards of light swirl, twist, explode, shimmy, and hop around the stage in a transfixing performance.

I have no idea how they pull this off, and like any good magician, they don’t reveal any secrets–at least not in any language I can read.  See for yourself, they put on quite a show.  And please, if you can figure out their tricks, let me know.

April 3^rd, 2010 was a apparently worldwide Pillow Fight Day, and Chris Crutchfield was there in L.A. – one of the cities crazy enough to participate- to capture it all. The video is very self-explanatory; a bunch of people brought their feathered and non-feathered pillows to the streets of L.A., gathered together and went full on with pillow fighting with each other. You see all range of people just getting together for some crazy pillow fun, and I think the appeal of it all comes from the fact that for a moment they could forget about their life frustrations to come together to have some real fun.

“Pillows (Good Feeling)” is a little marvel on how well it was filmed and edited. Crutchfield posted a description on the details about the camera and how he shot and edited the video, so for all of you curious to know how he obtain his amazing results don’t forget to check out his link posted here. Aside from that, hope you’re able to enjoy the video because it’s one of those cool things that could be certain to bring a smile or at least a smirk on your face.

I watched this about 7 times, it gets funnier every single time.

It’s no secret that any form of art worth existing should (and in most cases would) take a lot of time and effort to be created. Brace yourselves however, for here I have for you a special treat: the perfect combination between Street Art and Stop-Motion Combo.

There is not much needed to say about this unbelievable video named Combo created by artists Blu and David Ellis, with production by Studio Cromie and music by Roberto Lange. The stop-motion masterpiece is simply a delight to watch, and the whole content just flows in perfect harmony in front of your eyes. It is that mix of raw street art movement that abides to no laws pertaining arts in general, with the technicalities of creating a video of this caliber that makes this work so endearing.

There was obviously a lot of work involved as well as a lot of patience, but I love it that all of the artists involved got an equal chance to shine in this project. Many videos are created with a lot of people being involved, but there always end up someone being put on the spotlight more than others and that is not the case in this project. Combo highlights the talents of Blu, David, and Roberto as if they were just one mastermind. I love it how the bizarre sound effects give the whole project a likeable childlike quality to the work, and the different paintings just have this dreamlike schizophrenic feel to it that just works.

There is nothing better than the smell of fresh bread in the morning. Also there is nothing better than fresh talent on the making. Mike Crozier is one English gent whose works are sure to leave a good taste in your mouth.

This 21 years old Graphic Designer, Illustrator, and Animator from Leeds have no even graduated yet, but his works are full of potential and raw talent. He certainly knows the recipes for success, because he’s been cooking them all over his portfolio. His works can be described simply as yummy… and honestly after seeing his very exquisitely done stopmotion film created for SNASK on his website, I was hungry for some more. He wrote, shot, and edited all the work by himself without any help from stopmotion software, or the use of special effects.

Currently on his intern year, he is doing his internship in Stockholm at SNASK. This young artist refuses to limit his artistic abilities only graphic design, illustration, and animation, and has confessed into venturing into other creative fields. I would recommend you to pay a visit to his website, which shows the many sides of his artistic abilities. From animations, stills, posters, to a shameless cut out pirate for self-promo, there is nothing in the world of visual arts Mike Crozier seems not to be able to do.
