curated hecox tokyo Evan Hecox Takes You PlacesEvan Hecox has some really appealing designs. They come off as simple but Jesus-Tap-Dancing-Christ do they leave you in a relaxing sense of awe. First thought? Portfolio 1 has this splashy (and, at times, gyrating) watercolour feel about it. Portfolio 2 has these swirling graphic women I love immediately. Second thought? Where do I get those custom shoes? What’s not to love? Swirls, scrawls, skulls—these sneakers are artwork for the feet ( though I must admit the white canvas they’re on makes me a little nervous about wearing them—if you’re supposed to wear them, that is.) here we Lie Marco Z Marco Zamora

My first impressions of L.A. artist and graduate of California Institute of the Arts Marco Zamora’s artwork are varied; I jot down mottled movement, texture, pattern, oddities (skeleton faces leave quite the imprint on me), and reoccurring buildings (they’re everywhere, including dappled all over people’s bodies, but the people don’t seem to mind.)
