archangel 600x423 567x400 Mariusz Kozik is Lacedemon

Simply amazing work by Polish illustrator Mariusz Kozik based out of Lublin City, Poland. For whatever reason his nickname is Lacedemon, doesn’t really matter to me because I can’t stop starring at his work. Most of his work seems to concentrate on war, from medieval knights to most recent infantries. All I know is this guy needs to design heavy metal album covers, I’d buy the CD just for the album art. See more of his work after the continuation… [ Continue Reading ]

heat death 585x251 I think that Jeremy Geddes might actually beat Jesus in a painting throwdown (sorry, Jesus)

Jeremy Geddes is the scariest person in the universe. The above photo is a painting, people. A painting. I feel like I’m in the twilight zone. I think I zoomed in every single painting in the thumbnails below, and I could have sworn that they were actual photographs. Either my eyesight is awful, or Jeremy Geddes is a wizard. I wear contacts, so I’m pretty sure it’s the latter. [ Continue Reading ]

This is one of the best animation reels I have ever seen. Music by Richard Einhorn, it syncs with the visuals extremely well. All the visuals in the video can also be seen at Toby’s website. There is a little preview of his work after the break… [ Continue Reading ]

thegiver 284x400 Chris Ryniak is way cooler than you

Chris Ryniak was born as a baby in 1976. That’s what it says in his profile on his website. I’ve decided that we’re friends, now, because we both have that in common. Except that I was born ten years later. [ Continue Reading ]

horsey web Montreals Cedric Taillon daydreams in oil and ink.

A solitary outline is filled in with paramour.  Pencil-leaden silhouttes gradually surround him, crowding a dingy bar as it is built.  Light fixtures descend from the ceiling to throw shadows of figures not yet substantiated, until the room is friendly and full.  The mood is tangible.  Exuberant.  Disturbing.  Organic, and spontaneously evolving.  Welcome to the world of Montreal’s Cedric Taillon. genaro 6 300x400 Genaros Transcendence

Dripping with color and trippy, like a Hendrix experience, Genaro De Sia Coppola‘s vector art takes you for a ride. The Venezuelan artist’s series Atari is Hot are his bright techno color takes on games like Space Invaders (above), Tetris and even those inevitable two little words; ’Game Over.’ [ Continue Reading ]

Awesome video by Simon and McBess. I couldn’t dig anything up on Simon, but McBess is a French artist who seems to be involved in lots of different art forms, mainly music and illustration. I really like his 2D illustrations, they remind me of looney toons that I used to watch as a kid. They have that retro disney cartoons feels to them. See more of his work after the continuation… [ Continue Reading ]

ebonygown 400x400 HumAnatomy

At first glance, these pictures seem to be monstrous. I mean, really – who wants to see a woman modeling a beautiful ebony gown, and see muscle, tissue, and bones? However, the monstrosity is to the artistically untrained eye. [ Continue Reading ]
