If you have ever been to Europe ( which I hope you have ), you will notice plenty of weird and unfamiliar looking automobiles. One of them is probably Renault. Typical Renault is small, gas friendly and ugly… Well here their latest try at being pretty… First showcased at the Geneva Motor Show this thing is not claiming to be a beast, yet a modern daily warrior. Cheers.

006 gt500sketches 585x219 2010 Ford Shelby GT500

What you are seeing infront of you are some first ever seen sketched of the new 2010 Ford Shelby GT500. Any fan of muscle cars know what Shelby stands for, and the new 2010 model does not seem to be letting any of that reputation down. Besides promising to eat kids alive as they cross the road to school, this beast is going to have some 540-hp under the hood when let out of the production line. Reasons to buy, attach wings and have a flying car, experience g-forces, scare the shit out of your mom/girlfriend/dog/dad/little sister/wallet…

With the new Transformers movie coming out this summer, it seems like Chevrolet is taking the opportunity in introducing a brand new concept car, the Corvette Stingray. The car will play the character of Sideswipe in the movie, but no official word yet on what this concept will be ( or not ) in the real world. As far as I can see, it seems like its a new redesigned Corvette that will probably hit the streets in the near future, but thats just a speculation, what the hell do I know.

It’s kind of ugly, but its electric so you can’t really be too mad at it. Can’t win them all. Built by Mission Motors, this electric bike is expected to hit 150mph and an estimated range of 150 miles.   The first 50 bikes produced will be a special Limited Edition model delivered in 2010 bearing a $68,995 price tag, while a standard, more affordable Mission One will be announced this summer. Looking forward to it…

Bentley. The name explains it all. At my financial state at the moment, driving this car will simply be too intimidating. However it’s great to know that there are people out there that can afford such amenities, especially for $1.7 million.  While you recover from choking on your coffee, yes you read it right, this car costs $1.7 million each. I think with that kind of money I can buy a person from some unfortunate country, but we are Americans and we love material things! Besides the ridiculous price, the car is stunning and I am sure it performs much better than a regular Bentley… Anyway, it’s time for you wipe the drool off your keyboard and go back to work. I have to be honest with you, I never favored Jaguars. For the money that they usually cost, I always thought there are much better looking cars out there. You rarely see a young guy or girl driving a Jaguar, instead it’s usually some rich old fart driving it slowly and carefully avoiding each pot hole. But this one seems very promising. Granted this model is not a reality yet, but a concept created by designer Phillip Dean. Powered by Hydrogen fuel cells, it’s green too! The only problem I have with the design is the wheel caps, besides that sexy is all I can think of when I look at this.

Watch this video at least twice through. It’s so beautiful.  The second time through I was able to catch more detail of each frame.  The song is by Oren Lavie, visit www.myspace.com/orenlavie to hear more of his songs.  The video was directed by Oren, and produced/directed with Yuval & Merav Nathan, two really amazing production artists.  They use their skills in photography, design, 3-D animation, stop motion, and 2-D compositing to create videos such as this ultra unique project.  My favorite would have to be the thunder storm sequence, when Shir Shomron, the gorgeous gal, is framed in a window made of blankets.

vespa gts 300 Vespas Have No Sex

What I best remember about the movie, The Interpreter, are the scenes of Nicole Kidman zipping around Manhattan on a Vespa and the argument I had with my friend Will afterwards. I said I wanted one (a Vespa), he said it was a girl’s bike.

Vespas are not “girls’ bikes”. They are efficient, gender-neutral modes of motorized transport for the urban environment. But perhaps you doubt me or simply need to know you could hit 80 mph while sitting atop a scooter. Well, now there’s the Vespa GTS 300 Super, an update and more powerful version of the highly popular GTS 250. Enjoy, just be sure to wear a helmet.

hondafury Fury Unleashed

Things I only thought of doing in my early twenties as well as a lot of things I never thought of doing have become increasingly commonplace for me now. A houseboat probably lurks somewhere in my future along with a string of ex-wives and B-list actress girlfriends and paternity suits— but those are my forties. For the moment a motorcycle lists among my present fixations. The Honda Fury in particular has caught my eye.

I’ve seen the bike on a couple of websites, read the stats and pictured all the fantasy scenarios that have me taking to the highway in search of some adventure or nothingness or whatever it is that may be my mood. And that more so than anything is what I like about the Honda Fury, it sparks the imagination and provides a sense of something wild and powerful— an abstraction from the everyday. It’s both classic and modern, capable of being part of the office workers weekend escapist fantasies or the faithful steed of a full-time motorcyclist.
