So we all love our kids and want them to grow up and be a doctor or a lawyer or what the hell, a politician…  But what about those kids who just don’t want to agree with the society and rebel against everything anything good stands for?  Well we love them too ( only when they are young and cute ) that’s why there is a new line of knitting toys out there to satisfy their hunger for, umm, blood.  Actually they are not real toys, I kind of lied,  they are just artistic knitting works called “Knitting for psychos ”  and you can see more of it here: Knitting for psychos

Interesting work by a French Art Director/Photographer Pierre Beteille who calls himself Monkeyman.  Got these images from his Flickr page, he claims not to be an artist, just someone who shoots pictures and plays with them in Photoshop.  Maybe so Monkeyman, but looks cool to me, so my hat is off to you.

At some point we all have to decide if Saigon whores and copious amounts of cocaine are our thing or not. Presumably a lifestyle lacking in Saigon whores and blow offers up a multitude of other possibilities; it’s doubtful however (given the free time such abstinence would provide) you could ever find the combination of talent and patience Australian artist, Emma Hack, routinely displays in her elaborate body paintings.

picture6 Living Works of Art

Hack’s website credits her as a skin illustrator, sculptor and photographer or more succinctly a “diverse multimedia artist”. Earlier this year she won the Renault New Generation Art Award at the Weekend ART Sydney Show and looks forward to touring her work abroad, no word yet if that includes stateside.

So this is something new, a new form of graffiti out there on the streets that not many can have a grudge about.  It’s knitting, and its kinda cool.  Done by a group of urban rebels that call them selves Knitta Please, it is definitely a cleaner form of graffiti that I most definitely approve, it looks nice, very artistic and the best of all, it’s not a pain in the ass to take off.  Check out the gallery to see more cool examples.

urban outfitters image high 449x300 PB and JFood that comes from celebrity lunch boxes are probably that much more delicious! Seriously though, these boxes made for The Lunch Box Auction are super-adorable (and made for a good cause!).  Personally, I think what you chose to put on your lunchbox says a lot about your character. Growing up, my lunch boxes were always an important accessory, showcasing my unique personality (read: were tacky). [ Continue Reading ]

Awesome work by a Russian artist Egor Bashakov.  This self portrait consists of 2300 buttons that eventually draw out the artist’s face. I always get amazed at things like these, I think it takes a certain type of imagination through which you can imagine what you are doing close up from far away.
