Provocative, eye-catching…a little soft pornish but with this groovy vibe. The rendering of the girl with a feather headdress is quite beautiful. Soft and alluring. The gloves in the boxing girl piece are standout, drawing the eye to them rather than right to the girl.
Alright, I’m not one for ‘cutesy art’ but this one is pretty small-smirkable, even for those of you who are convinced anything to do with babies is far to soft, pink and cuddly to really be found in the dark and twisted underworld of the artistic. [ Continue Reading ]
Anything involving Darth Vader is going to impress me, especially if the image involving him is as artistic as that of Steve Santana. The Legacy and Truth piece (with the glaring eyes of the skull boring into me) is another favourite of mine. I especially like the use of colour. Here and there, I like the splotches of paint across images; they’re the finishing touch that makes some of the others seem naked or flatter almost.
