What you see here is the work of a young Cuban artist by the name of Erik Ravelo. “I’m a human being and I don’t believe in borders. I think the world belongs to everyone born on Earth. This is my planet, our planet. No man is an island. Yes, I was born on Cuba but, above all, I was born on Planet Earth. I like to think that Lana Sutra talks about universal love which cancels diversity.” [ Continue Reading ]

Yet another artist I found on zazzle. This guy blows me away, I love his work!! John Toth is his name and he uses mostly markers in his work and he created these incredible masculine men in otherwise feminine poses and apparel. Take a look at all of his art on his personal website JohnToth.com And be sure to check out his online Zazzle Store. I ordered the Blond with the beer cans in his hair, because it reminded me so much of myself lol, I have it framed in a silver frame and it’s hanging on my wall in my office. He sells t-shirts for men and women as well as posters, check him out! More images after the jump. [ Continue Reading ]
Frank Ponce is an artist and interior space designer living in Los Angeles. He paints amazing large scale comic-like images on panel wood. He recently started an online store with Zazzle.com where so far he has created tote bags, coasters, dog sweaters, shirts, coffee mugs, and iPhone 4 cases. The photo above is his super hero painting put onto the iphone 4 case, here is a direct link to his zazzle store. I love his use of vivid color and his comic book style. I believe he is also working on a series of skateboards, snowboards, and shoes using his images, I would love a snowboard when he comes out with them! You can follow him on his blog as well, check it here. See a few more images of his work after the jump. [ Continue Reading ]

I love caricatures, they outline the most interesting features of the person’s face and in result make it more entertaining to look at. Living in New York I see caricature artists fairly often as they draw tourists who are willing to laugh at them selves. [ Continue Reading ]
The other day I was casually browsing through my Netflix and I stumbled upon a World War II documentary called The Ritchie Boys. It is a story of a group of young men who fled Nazi Germany and returned to Europe as soldiers in US-uniforms.
