Caspar Balsvlev is a photographer and music video director from Copenhagen. His photographic inspiration is often the world’s great cities and what makes them tick; the vital energy he can convey with a picture of a simple fish shop is remarkable. On the other hand, his photos of Katrina-aftermath New Orleans show us how energetic decay can be. Be warned: one photo in particular isn’t pretty. But like most of Caspar Balslev’s work, it tells a true story.
