Description
My name is Melissa. I grew up in Newfoundland, a little island off the east coast of Canada, and relocated to Montreal a few years back. I am part writer, part circus performer, part social worker, part musician, part dancer, part world traveler and, yes, part blogger. My favorite colour is gray, I'm vegetarian, and I drink coffee like only a true addict can. All of these parts come, mostly harmoniously, together, to form me. I hope you enjoy my posts.

Photographer Brooke Nipar grew up in sunny Cali, under rock-star parents before relocating to the concrete jungle of New York City. Desert raver turned city girl, she has an extensive and distinctive portfolio of photographs – most of which, though, left me with “what” rather than “wow,” at least until recently. More recent photos for MissBehave magazine showed off an eye for colour that was neglected in earlier work. With this extra level of eye-pop, she’s finally turning out some eye-candy. As artists, I think we all struggle with the tangled web that is inspiration and creation. What already exists, what needs to be put on the table, what is a little premature, and – most importantly – what will put bread on the table. Paul Ripke‘s photographs are vibrant, simple, and, most importantly commercially viable. Does that make up for [ Continue Reading ]

Wendell Levi Teodoro is Zeduce, an edgy photographer with truckloads of pop-culture appeal. His CV is hectic, and his portfolio is thick. If it exists in the artistic world, Zeduce has probably taken photos of it. His editorial “Omega Time” features model Charly @ Chadwick as a geometry-class super hero.
