But not Rockfield. Smokey seventies inspired album art and sultry pin-up girls, what’s not to love.

Rockfield’s fun. These images capture the dry wit of a Rolling Stones album. One of the good ones, from the seventies.

You can just imagine kicking back, toking up and zoning out with these on your bedroom walls. Yeah. Takes me back to community college and living in my mom’s basement. Hendrix rocks!

She looks sexy in fish, that’s for sure.

Her portraits often convey a surreal but pleasing atmosphere.  Whether wrapped in clay, fish or text, her images are often striking. Quotidian objects cover the flesh and highlight the materiality of the human form.

Frequently humorous, these images often emphasize the frailty of the human form, blurring the line between fashion and art. Simply put, Betsy Lanlagen has created images pleasing and thought provoking.

It’s clear Findus has a different idea of grandmothers and french fries. I mean, look at all the bling that granny’s got. A pinky ring? How fly is that.  Maybe she has some kind of Jennifer Lopez past we don’t even know about.

And since when did grandma make french fries? Apple pie, meatloaf, boiled ham–these seem much more granny’s style.

And the kids are all cute and squishy-faced. How could you resist squeezing them cheeks? Not those cheeks–strictly good-touch here, no bad-touching allowed. But what’s going on with their eyes? Is it merely disdain for such gran-maternal affection, or is it those long hairs growing out of that unfortunately placed mole on granny’s face? The one you can’t help but oscelate between staring at and turning away in disgust?

Oh, and the french fries. I’m sure they’re tasty.

Unless you’re really afraid of heights. Then I don’t even know how you can walk up steps. Especially the narrow ones in old office buildings. Now that’s kind of scary. Especially when the stairwells are all dark.  But not Gravity. Which is very bright and kind of dreamy.

These dolls aren’t playing house. Their game is more like cowboys and indians. You know when you used to tie each other up with gauze, put tape on each other’s nipples and wrap yourself and your best friend together in vinyl? Yeah, me neither.

But it’s not just doll bondage over at Oyster Dreams. Some dolls look ready for the runway. Strutting their stuff in haute couture dresses. But the mummy is my favorite. Reminds me of that Halloween we didn’t have any money and I had to be the invisible man wrapped in toilet paper. That was hot.

Feminine but creepy, Oyster Dreams is kind of like Cindy Sherman’s doll pieces, only way more glam.
