Get ready for the next generation of water-sports!  Like all sports, this one looks a lot easier that I’d imagine it actually is.  I’m hypothesizing here, but I’d imagine, more than skill, It takes a certain amount of confidence to pull off being attached to this kind of machine.  I look greatly forward to the upcoming episodes of MADE: I want to be a JetLev Flyer.

I can’t honestly recount the events of the internet-fugue I got caught up in that led me to this video, all I can say is that I’m happy to have gotten swept away.  Watching a Take Away Show hardly feels like time wasted.  It is certainly one enchanting way to spend several hours (and I mean several).  It’s basically what it sounds like, a live performance, in the most literal possible meaning of the word.   The people of La Blogotheque know what’s up, and so many of them are so beautiful that it’s difficult to stop watching them.  Here, the boys of The Shins entertain on the streets of Paris.

Oh the places you’ll go!  Design boutique ilovedust recently created these outer-worldly illustrations– apparently with bicycles on the brain– available for purchase on Click For Art.   Each illustration finds a bike inside a neat little world:

I love glasses.  Like …I love, love them.  I think that everyone should have a pair, and I’ll will (ashamedly) admit that I own a pair of basic reading glasses that I wear sometimes to the grocery store or the library just because I think they’re so hot.  So you can imagine how exciting something like  these  DIY adjustable glasses by Josh Silver are to me.

They’re like a camera lens for the eye, created so people in the third world can see without being treated by an optician.   Not only are they completely awesome because they’re going to… I don’t know, help the world see? But they’re also extremely cool in the hipster sense (p.s. Jay-Z you should always wear glasses).

I’ve always had an odd crush on Fred Armisen without much thought, but I recently discovered why: he’s deeply hysterical.  Apparently he and Carrie Brownstein are what they (in the business) call a “dream team”.   I present, ” Feminist Bookstore 2″ (the original “Feminist Bookstore” is on his website, Thunderant along with many other really funny videos). Who knew Armisen was so viral?  Swoon.

urban outfitters image high 449x300 PB and JFood that comes from celebrity lunch boxes are probably that much more delicious! Seriously though, these boxes made for The Lunch Box Auction are super-adorable (and made for a good cause!).  Personally, I think what you chose to put on your lunchbox says a lot about your character. Growing up, my lunch boxes were always an important accessory, showcasing my unique personality (read: were tacky). [ Continue Reading ]
