APOCALYPSE NOW

If it turns out that the Mayans were right about the world ending in 2012, I know exactly what I’ll be wearing. Christopher Kane’s resort ‘10 collection is filled with fantastic dresses depicting mushroom clouds and apocalyptic skies- they’re striking and completely unexpected, with a bit of a 90’s feel to them. Kane started flirting with the idea of marrying images and clothing in his spring ‘09 collection, sending a few girls down the runway in little dresses with giant gorillas printed on them- Kristen Stewart wore one of them in her NYLON spread a few months ago. It’s such a refreshingly new idea, especially with such shocking images.. hopefully we’ll get to see more of it before, you know, the end of days.
