Alex Gross
The paintings of Alex Gross are absolutely stunning in a foreboding/kind of creepy way. I could stare at these for hours just trying to figuring them out and constantly finding new things. Some are so complex looking at them feels like putting together pieces of a puzzle. Aesthetically, they are absolute perfection paying attention to the tiniest details and using a beautiful range of rich colors and creating beautiful movement where applicaple. The best part, however, is that these paintings feel deeper than just trying to evoke visual pleasure- there is a socio-political message in each one of them.
