curated hecox tokyo Evan Hecox Takes You PlacesEvan Hecox has some really appealing designs. They come off as simple but Jesus-Tap-Dancing-Christ do they leave you in a relaxing sense of awe. These are the type of things that just make you appreciate the world and all the everyday wonders that make it a colourful place to be. He kind of finds the bare stuff of it all. His name is Paul Lung, from Hong Kong and he is an artist. An artist that uses a simple pencil to create magic that includes photos of himself, his family and of course cats. [ Continue Reading ]

First thought? Portfolio 1 has this splashy (and, at times, gyrating) watercolour feel about it. Portfolio 2 has these swirling graphic women I love immediately. Second thought? Where do I get those custom shoes? What’s not to love? Swirls, scrawls, skulls—these sneakers are artwork for the feet ( though I must admit the white canvas they’re on makes me a little nervous about wearing them—if you’re supposed to wear them, that is.) Dont Think Just Smoke by Rockfield 280x400 Rockfield

kumiyamashita clouds1 322x400 Shadow Art: Kumi YamashitaShadow art is some very cool stuff that takes meticulous planning (though I really have no real inkling how it is done) and involves objects and light to create its effect. Apparently, the artist Kumi Yamashita sets up various objects whose cast shadows on the wall transform into figures of people and faces.   [ Continue Reading ]
