Killer Photography

Just in time for Halloween I want to share this amazing photography work. Joshua Hoffine’s horror photography is absolutely terrifying and at the same time brilliant.  The images mix children with horror clichés coming from our worst nightmares.  Joshua stages his sets like small movies, with sets and costumes, special effects and make-up. He uses friends and family as actors and everyone works for free. The photographer makes a point to say that he only uses photoshop to adjust colors and not modify images. You also can purchase all these prints, just brilliant.

Seems like the PC/Mac war is heating up, just recently a website has been launched that takes random stabs at the whole “I’M A PC” campaign by Microsoft.  Gotta admit, as a tech guy, none of the systems are perfect and they both target their own types of users, so comparing them is some what unfair… Check out http://andimapc.com

If you are a fan of heavy metal music, it is hard for me to imagine that you have never heard of Sonata Arctica.  They are a power metal band and they hail from Finland.  Just recently I have gotten the pleasure of picking up their latest album Unia, and had the pleasure to see them live in concert.  I have to admit, it was definitely one of the best shows I have seen this year.  The interesting thing about this concert is that it was free, due to the main act ( Nightwish ) singer getting sick, and the opening act Sonata Arctica taking charge and still coming out and playing a full set.  This band definitely gained my respect with their music and principal… Get their new album here
